Shrimp Price in Tunisia (FOB) - 2022
In December 2022, the average shrimp export price amounted to $13,669 per ton, dropping by -12.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2022 an increase of 34% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $16,118 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to December 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($15,149 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($11,146 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
