In July 2023, the average snow-ski equipment import price amounted to $13.1 per unit, waning by -23% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a perceptible setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 128% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $36.1 per unit. From April 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($29.6 per unit), while the price for Myanmar ($2.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In July 2023, the average snow-ski equipment export price amounted to $19.6 per unit, dropping by -3.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 an increase of 81% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $21.8 per unit in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Barbados ($47.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to Japan ($16.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Barbados (+8.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Snow-Ski Equipment Imports in the United States
After three years of growth, purchases abroad of snow-ski equipment decreased by -3.5% to 2M units in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a significant increase.
