Soybean Oil Price in Canada (FOB) - 2023
The average soybean oil export price stood at $1,369 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 2.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 an increase of 8.3% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,646 per ton. From August 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,409 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($1,111 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In June 2023, the average soybean oil import price amounted to $1,610 per ton, waning by -10.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a noticeable reduction. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,076 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
