Sparkling Wine Price in Cameroon (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average sparkling wine import price amounted to $4 per litre, with a decrease of -21.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 76%. The import price peaked at $12 per litre in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($6.6 per litre), while the price for China ($0.4 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Sparkling Wine Price in Cameroon (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average sparkling wine export price amounted to $2.8 per litre, declining by -9.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 99%. The export price peaked at $13 per litre in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($4.9 per litre), while the average price for exports to Central African Republic ($1 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (-7.3%).
Sparkling Wine Imports in Cameroon
For the fourth consecutive year, Cameroon recorded growth in purchases abroad of sparkling wine, which increased by 39% to 746K litres in 2022. Overall, imports showed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 55% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, sparkling wine imports rose notably to $2.9M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $3.5M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Sparkling Wine Exports in Cameroon
