In June 2023, the average spices; mixtures import price amounted to $6,982 per ton, waning by -3.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 33% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $8,858 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($26,422 per ton), while the price for Bulgaria ($3,318 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by North Macedonia (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average spices; mixtures export price amounted to $7,301 per ton, increasing by 40% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a modest expansion. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $9,122 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($29,416 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($1,782 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Albania (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
