In 2022, the average spices; mixtures import price amounted to $4,336 per ton, flattening at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 157%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $21,864 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($7,213 per ton), while the price for India ($2,412 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (-2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average spices; mixtures export price stood at $11,982 per ton in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a slight setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 184% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $30,956 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Georgia ($30,183 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($7,272 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (+31.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of spices; mixtureses decreased by -25% to 43 tons in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +34.2% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 50%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 57 tons, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, spices; mixtures imports fell remarkably to $185K in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +18.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 48%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $249K, and then declined notably in the following year.
