Spinach Price in Belgium (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average spinach import price amounted to $229 per ton, shrinking by -9.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 116% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,320 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($3,306 per ton), while the price for France ($116 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average spinach export price amounted to $836 per ton, declining by -2.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a prominent expansion. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+17.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
