Spinach Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
The average spinach import price stood at $1,230 per ton in 2022, picking up by 5.1% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, spinach import price increased by +61.5% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($3,289 per ton), while the average price for exports to Brunei Darussalam amounted to $2,220 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (+1.8%).
Spinach Imports in Singapore
In 2022, supplies from abroad of spinach decreased by -9.8% to 13K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 9.4% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 16K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
