In April 2020, the average starch; manioc (cassava) import price amounted to $589 per ton, picking up by 3.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2020, the country with the highest price was Nicaragua ($640 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($581 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2020 to April 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Paraguay (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average starch; manioc (cassava) export price stood at $811 per ton in 2022, declining by -48.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 81% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,576 per ton, and then declined rapidly in the following year.
