The average starches; inulin import price stood at $1,256 per ton in September 2023, shrinking by -4.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,412 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($2,787 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($703 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a slight downturn.
