In August 2023, the average sulphides; polysulphides import price amounted to $10,099 per ton, increasing by 105% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price posted a buoyant increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Bosnia and Herzegovina ($16,783 per ton), while the price for Germany ($6,241 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+12.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In August 2023, the average sulphides; polysulphides export price amounted to $8,545 per ton, declining by -3.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a slight decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 102% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $9,864 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($15,344 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($1,840 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
