Sulphides; Polysulphides Price in Pakistan (CIF) - 2023
In April 2023, the average sulphides; polysulphides import price amounted to $770 per ton, picking up by 5.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 17% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $788 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to April 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Taiwan (Chinese) ($981 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($981 per ton), while the price for Iran ($674 per ton) and China ($785 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From April 2022 to April 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Sulphides; Polysulphides Price in Pakistan (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average sulphides; polysulphides export price amounted to $401 per ton, falling by -19.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 113%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,177 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($616 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($136 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Tajikistan (-3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Sulphides; Polysulphides Imports in Pakistan
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of sulphides; polysulphideses, when their volume decreased by -41.4% to 13K tons. In general, imports, however, recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 235% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 22K tons, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, sulphides; polysulphides imports shrank markedly to $9.6M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +39.8% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 68%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $11M, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas shipments of sulphides; polysulphideses, when their volume increased by 85% to 7 tons. Overall, exports, however, saw a dramatic curtailment.
In value terms, sulphides; polysulphides exports skyrocketed to $2.8K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a sharp curtailment.
