In 2022, overseas shipments of sulphites; of sodia decreased by -22.6% to 20 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 462%.

In value terms, sulphites; of sodium exports declined rapidly to $16K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 380% against the previous year.
