Synthetic Filament Tow Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average synthetic filament tow import price stood at $1,879 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -8.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a noticeable setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 39% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,097 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Thailand ($2,355 per ton) and Portugal ($2,300 per ton), while the price for China ($1,711 per ton) and South Korea ($2,050 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (-2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average synthetic filament tow export price stood at $7,078 per ton in 2022, picking up by 73% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a prominent expansion. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
