Taro (Cocoyam) Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
The average taro (cocoyam) export price stood at $477 per ton in March 2022, rising by 92% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2021 an increase of 377% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,852 per ton. From August 2021 to March 2022, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($2,762 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($262 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+8.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average taro (cocoyam) import price stood at $1,040 per ton in 2022, which is down by -10.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a perceptible reduction.
