T-Shirt Price in Colombia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average t-shirt import price amounted to $4.6 per unit, declining by -15.2% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 27% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $5.4 per unit, and then reduced markedly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Peru ($12 per unit), while the price for Honduras ($2.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Peru (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In February 2022, the average t-shirt export price amounted to $5.0 per unit, declining by -67.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2021 an increase of 20% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $17.7 per unit. From August 2021 to February 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Chile ($10.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to Peru ($2.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Panama (-3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
T-Shirt Imports in Colombia
After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of t-shirts increased by 70% to 7.3M units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a sharp downturn. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 14M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, t-shirt imports skyrocketed to $33M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. Imports peaked at $56M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

T-Shirt Exports in Colombia
In 2022, the amount of t-shirts exported from Colombia declined notably to 15M units, with a decrease of -37.4% against 2021 figures. In general, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 296%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 23M units, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, t-shirt exports dropped significantly to $32M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 45% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $38M, and then declined markedly in the following year.
