Turkey Meat Price in Italy (FOB) - 2023
The average turkey meat export price stood at $3,372 per ton in July 2023, approximately reflecting the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 31% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $4,664 per ton. From January 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Austria ($5,856 per ton), while the average price for exports to Guinea ($1,796 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Guinea (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Turkey Meat Price in Italy (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average turkey meat import price amounted to $5,261 per ton, jumping by 31% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $5,628 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Brazil ($6,089 per ton) and the Netherlands ($5,902 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($4,455 per ton) and Poland ($4,797 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Turkey Meat Exports in Italy
In 2022, approx. 39K tons of turkey meat were exported from Italy; shrinking by -37.7% on the year before. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 2.6%.
