Turkey Meat Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
The average turkey meat export price stood at $3,038 per ton in July 2023, rising by 2.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 34% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,060 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($4,791 per ton), while the average price for exports to Azerbaijan ($650 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Gabon (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Turkey Meat Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average turkey meat import price stood at $1,634 per ton in 2022, waning by -20.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price faced a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 70% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $4,587 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($3,260 per ton), while the price for the United States ($1,053 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2014 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kuwait (-15.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

For the third consecutive year, Turkey recorded decline in shipments abroad of turkey meat, which decreased by -3.9% to 7.4K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a deep contraction.
In value terms, turkey meat exports reached $18M in 2022. Overall, exports saw a abrupt slump.
