Unsaturated Monohydric Alcohols Price in India (FOB) - 2023
The average unsaturated monohydric alcohols export price stood at $9,423 per ton in July 2023, shrinking by -2.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 11% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $12,181 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($10,868 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($7,094 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Unsaturated Monohydric Alcohols Price in India (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average unsaturated monohydric alcohols import price amounted to $8,961 per ton, increasing by 5.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 13% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $9,799 per ton. From February 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($19,398 per ton), while the price for Japan ($4,914 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Unsaturated Monohydric Alcohols Exports in India
In 2022, approx. 13K tons of unsaturated monohydric alcohols were exported from India; jumping by 23% against 2021 figures. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +16.4% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +57.6% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, unsaturated monohydric alcohols exports soared to $141M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a remarkable increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +15.5% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +87.6% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
