Unvulcanized Rubber Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average unvulcanized rubber import price stood at $3,380 per ton in January 2022, with a decrease of -19.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2021 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,184 per ton, and then declined sharply in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($4,622 per ton), while the price for Belarus ($1,534 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Unvulcanized Rubber Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average unvulcanized rubber export price stood at $1,799 per ton in 2022, which is down by -4.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 12% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $4,122 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($6,119 per ton), while the average price for exports to Azerbaijan ($508 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Unvulcanized Rubber Imports in Russia
Unvulcanized rubber imports into Russia fell to 57K tons in 2022, with a decrease of -9.7% compared with the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 27%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 63K tons, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, unvulcanized rubber imports dropped to $207M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 38%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $240M, and then declined in the following year.

Unvulcanized Rubber Exports in Russia
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in shipments abroad of unvulcanized rubber and articles thereof, when their volume decreased by -4.2% to 23K tons. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 24K tons, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, unvulcanized rubber exports dropped to $41M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 21% against the previous year.
