Vegetable and Melon Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average vegetable and melon import price amounted to $1,016 per ton, with a decrease of -9.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 17% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,513 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($1,438 per ton), while the price for Russia ($379 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average vegetable and melon export price stood at $1,066 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -19.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a pronounced curtailment.
