Vegetable Oils Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2023
The average vegetable oils import price stood at $2,158 per ton in September 2023, growing by 14% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 22% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,883 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($10,122 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($1,625 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average vegetable oils export price amounted to $6,818 per ton, picking up by 96% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 140%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($12,354 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($3,108 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+16.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
