Vegetable Price in Colombia (CIF) - 2022
The average vegetable import price stood at $505 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -11.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded measured growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 89% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $782 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($1,020 per ton), while the price for Peru ($273 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ecuador (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Vegetable Price in Colombia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average vegetable export price amounted to $1,587 per ton, with a decrease of -16.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 26%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $2,798 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($6,817 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ecuador ($667 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, approx. 114K tons of vegetables were imported into Colombia; jumping by 43% compared with 2021.
