Vegetable Price in Luxembourg (CIF) - 2022
The average vegetable import price stood at $2,133 per ton in 2022, reducing by -6.3% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.8%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 12% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,277 per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,181 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($1,851 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Vegetable Price in Luxembourg (FOB) - 2022
The average vegetable export price stood at $2,186 per ton in 2022, increasing by 4.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a slight downturn.
