Vegetable Puree Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average vegetable puree export price amounted to $1,725 per ton, with an increase of 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a pronounced slump. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $2,826 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($1,841 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($1,068 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Vegetable Puree Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average vegetable puree import price stood at $3,515 per ton in 2022, surging by 1.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 92% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,763 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,622 per ton), while the price for Switzerland ($1,842 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+50.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Vegetable Puree Exports in Turkey
In 2022, overseas shipments of vegetable puree decreased by -29.1% to 133 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a mild increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -30.6% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 52%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 192 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, vegetable puree exports fell dramatically to $230K in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated temperate growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -27.0% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 55% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $315K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
