Video Game Console Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average video game console import price amounted to $144 per unit, surging by 42% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 63% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $258 per unit. From February 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($362 per unit), while the price for China amounted to $115 per unit.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (-3.4%).
Video Game Console Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average video game console export price amounted to $111 per unit, which is down by -34.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average export price increased by 57%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $261 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($304 per unit), while the average price for exports to the United States ($28 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+15.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Video Game Console Imports in Turkey
In 2022, overseas purchases of video game consoles decreased by -22% to 139K units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 46%. Imports peaked at 179K units in 2021, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, video game console imports contracted dramatically to $24M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +32.0% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 68%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $32M, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

Video Game Console Exports in Turkey
In 2022, overseas shipments of video game consoles decreased by -59.1% to 4.4K units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports recorded a pronounced descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 302% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 19K units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, video game console exports shrank remarkably to $493K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a precipitous descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 210% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $3.6M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
