Waxes; Artificial, Prepared Price in Denmark (FOB) - 2023

The average waxes; artificial, prepared export price stood at $3,658 per ton in July 2023, declining by -2.5% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 11% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,825 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was India ($4,857 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($3,019 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in July 2023.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($8,048 per ton), while the price for France ($3,769 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
