Wheat Gluten Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
The average wheat gluten import price stood at $2,812 per ton in September 2022, approximately mirroring the previous month. In general, import price indicated a mild increase from January 2022 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6% over the last eight months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, wheat gluten import price increased by +215.3% against July 2022 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 213% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,974 per ton in April 2022; however, from May 2022 to September 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($7,352 per ton), while the price for Austria ($2,413 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+12.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average wheat gluten export price amounted to $2,151 per ton, increasing by 7.3% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
