In July 2023, the average whole fresh milk import price amounted to $645 per ton, growing by 4.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 34% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $847 per ton. From April 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($862 per ton), while the price for Germany ($585 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average whole fresh milk export price stood at $670 per ton in August 2023, growing by 16% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $786 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
