Winding Wire Price in Malaysia (FOB) - 2021
In December 2021, the average winding wire export price amounted to $12,117 per ton, growing by 3.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2021 an increase of 11% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $12,140 per ton in July 2021; afterwards, it flattened through to December 2021.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($18,921 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($10,782 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Winding Wire Price in Malaysia (CIF) - 2021
In December 2021, the average winding wire import price amounted to $17,268 per ton, surging by 7.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a resilient expansion from December 2020 to December 2021: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +6.6% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on December 2021 figures, winding wire import price increased by +29.1% against September 2021 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2021 an increase of 81% against the previous month. The import price peaked in December 2021.
