Cameroon was the main exporter of asbestoses in Africa, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Swaziland (X tons), creating a X% share of total exports.

Cameroon was also the fastest-growing in terms of the asbestoses exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. Swaziland (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to asbestos imports into Zimbabwe stood at X%. At the same time, Central African Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Central African Republic emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Ghana (X%) and Angola (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Zimbabwe (X p.p.) and Central African Republic (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Angola and Ghana saw its share reduced by X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2023, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Central African Republic ($X per ton), while Ghana ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Angola (X%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
