The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Cameroon was the main exporter of asbestoses in Africa, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Swaziland (X tons), creating a X% share of total exports.

Cameroon was also the fastest-growing in terms of the asbestoses exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. Swaziland (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Swaziland ($X per ton), while Cameroon stood at $X per ton.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Zimbabwe prevails in imports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Ghana (X tons), creating an X% share of total imports. The following importers - Angola (X tons) and Central African Republic (X tons) - each amounted to a X% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to asbestos imports into Zimbabwe stood at X%. At the same time, Central African Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Central African Republic emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Ghana (X%) and Angola (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
