Exports by Country

South Africa was the major exporting country with an export of about X tons, which amounted to X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Kenya (X tons), Swaziland (X tons), Zambia (X tons) and Tanzania (X tons), together achieving a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Senegal (X tons) and Ethiopia (X tons) - each finished at an X% share of total exports.

Exports from South Africa decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Senegal (X%), Zambia (X%), Tanzania (X%), Ethiopia (X%) and Kenya (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Senegal emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Swaziland (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kenya (X p.p.), South Africa (X p.p.), Zambia (X p.p.), Tanzania (X p.p.), Senegal (X p.p.) and Ethiopia (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2023, the share of Swaziland (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Kenya ($X) emerged as the largest vaccine supplier in Africa, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Swaziland ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by South Africa, with a X% share.

In Kenya, vaccine exports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2023. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Swaziland (X% per year) and South Africa (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2023, the export price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, reducing by X% against the previous year. Export price indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.
