Singapore dominates exports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Indonesia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Singapore was also the fastest-growing in terms of the other cyclic hydrocarbons exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Indonesia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, cyclic hydrocarbons imports contracted significantly to $X in 2023. In general, imports showed a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Indonesia (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) were the key importers of other cyclic hydrocarbons in ASEAN, together creating X% of total imports. Myanmar (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Malaysia (X%) and Vietnam (X%). Singapore (X tons), Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons) and Brunei Darussalam (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Brunei Darussalam (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, cyclic hydrocarbons import price increased by X% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the import price increased by X%.
