The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, plastic ornamental articles exports dropped modestly to $X in 2023. Total exports indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, exports increased by X% against 2017 indices. Vietnam was the main exporter of statuettes and other ornamental articles of plastic in ASEAN, with the volume of exports finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Vietnam experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of statuettes and other ornamental articles of plastic. At the same time, Cambodia (X%), Myanmar (X%), Thailand (X%) and Indonesia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Cambodia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in ASEAN, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, the Philippines (X%) and Malaysia (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2023, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, plastic ornamental articles imports dropped notably to $X in 2023. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
