From 2022 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, polyamide exports fell markedly to $X in 2023. In general, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2022, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Germany represented the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which recorded X% of total exports. Belgium (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Italy (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Poland (X tons), Spain (X tons) and France (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to polyamide exports from Germany stood at X%. At the same time, Spain (X%), Italy (X%) and Poland (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Spain emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Belgium (X%) and the Netherlands (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Italy and Spain increased by X and X percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, polyamide imports dropped markedly to $X in 2023. Total imports indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2022, and then fell significantly in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Germany (X tons), distantly followed by Italy (X tons), Belgium (X tons), France (X tons), Poland (X tons), Spain (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the key importers of polyamides (in primary forms), together generating X% of total imports. The Netherlands (X tons), Austria (X tons), Slovakia (X tons), Romania (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Sweden (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Romania (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest polyamide importing markets in the European Union were Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and Belgium ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Romania, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2023, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, declining by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the import price increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2022, and then fell in the following year.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2023, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Romania ($X per ton) and the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Italy ($X per ton) and Slovakia ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
