In 2022, the amount of printing ink exported in the European Union reduced to X tons, declining by X% on 2021. Overall, exports recorded a perceptible setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, printing ink exports dropped to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany was the main exporting country with an export of around X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. The Netherlands (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Spain (X tons), Italy (X tons), Belgium (X tons), France (X tons) and Luxembourg (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to printing ink exports from Germany stood at X%. At the same time, Luxembourg (X%) and Spain (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. In terms of the main exporting countries, Luxembourg, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2022, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of X%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while Luxembourg ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, imports of printing ink in the European Union declined notably to X tons, reducing by X% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports recorded a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
