Exports in the EU

For the third consecutive year, the European Union recorded growth in shipments abroad of radar apparatus, radio navigational aid apparatus and radio remote control apparatus, which increased by X% to X units in 2022. Total exports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, radar apparatus exports reduced to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated tangible growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

The Netherlands (X units) and Germany (X units) represented the major exporters of radar apparatus, radio navigational aid apparatus and radio remote control apparatus in 2022, recording approx. X% and X% of total exports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Italy (X units), Poland (X units), France (X units), Austria (X units), Hungary (X units) and Portugal (X units), together constituting a X% share of total exports. Sweden (X units), Spain (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Belgium (X units) and Romania (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
