Among the main exporting countries, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the European Union stood at $X per cubic meter in 2023, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by X%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per cubic meter. From 2014 to 2023, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per cubic meter), while Spain ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Rare Gases Imports

Imports in the EU

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of rare gases (excluding argon) increased by X% to X cubic meters in 2023. In general, imports saw a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X%. The volume of import peaked in 2023 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

In value terms, rare gases imports surged to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports recorded a prominent expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

France (X cubic meters), Germany (X cubic meters), Belgium (X cubic meters), Italy (X cubic meters) and the Netherlands (X cubic meters) represented roughly X% of total imports in 2023. The following importers - Spain (X cubic meters), Austria (X cubic meters), Ireland (X cubic meters), the Czech Republic (X cubic meters), Slovakia (X cubic meters) and Hungary (X cubic meters) - together made up X% of total imports.
