Guatemala (X litres) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Trinidad and Tobago (X%) and Brazil (X%). The following exporters - El Salvador (X litres), Peru (X litres) and Argentina (X litres) - together made up X% of total exports.

Exports from Mexico increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, El Salvador (X%), Brazil (X%), Argentina (X%) and Guatemala (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, El Salvador emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Trinidad and Tobago (X%) and Peru (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Mexico, Brazil and El Salvador increased by X, X and X percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Overall, imports continue to indicate strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, bottled water imports surged to $X in 2023. Total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2023 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

Imports by Country

Mexico was the largest importing country with an import of about X litres, which accounted for X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Panama (X litres), El Salvador (X litres) and Honduras (X litres), together mixing up a X% share of total imports. Cayman Islands (X litres), Costa Rica (X litres), Guatemala (X litres), Turks and Caicos Islands (X litres), the Dominican Republic (X litres), Nicaragua (X litres), Barbados (X litres), Saint Maarten (Dutch part) (X litres) and Colombia (X litres) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to bottled water imports into Mexico stood at X%.
