Moreover, Chile emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Colombia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Trinidad and Tobago (X%) and Ecuador (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Brazil, Chile and Colombia increased by X, X and X percentage points, respectively. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, paper and paperboard imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
