Finland, Estonia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

In 2023, overseas purchases of mushrooms and truffles decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a five-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, mushroom and truffle imports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. Overall, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X%. Imports peaked in 2023 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Lithuania (X tons) was the main mushroom and truffle supplier to Latvia, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, mushroom and truffle imports from Lithuania exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), more than tenfold.
