Exports from the U.S.

In 2023, shipments abroad of dental equipment and supplies decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after three years of growth. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, dental equipment exports amounted to $X in 2023. Overall, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

China (X tons), Mexico (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main destinations of dental equipment exports from the United States, with a combined X% share of total exports. Canada, Germany, South Korea, the UK, Taiwan (Chinese), Hong Kong SAR, Belgium, Australia, Spain and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2013 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Australia (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2022, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, dental equipment imports totaled $X in 2023. Overall, total imports indicated a moderate increase from 2013 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices.
