Mushroom and Truffle Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2023

The average mushroom and truffle import price stood at $2,911 per ton in August 2023, rising by 1.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 25% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,830 per ton. From October 2022 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($4,755 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,750 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Mushroom and Truffle Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022

The average mushroom and truffle export price stood at $10,296 per ton in 2022, falling by -14.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a pronounced expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 58% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $22,272 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($16,834 per ton), while the average price for exports to Montenegro ($2,801 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Mushroom and Truffle Imports in Slovenia

In 2022, the amount of mushrooms and truffles imported into Slovenia declined significantly to 1.2K tons, with a decrease of -25.2% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports saw a abrupt decline. The smallest decline of -4.3% was in 2020.

In value terms, mushroom and truffle imports dropped sharply to $3.9M in 2022. In general, imports saw a precipitous curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 22%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $12M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
