Grapefruit Price in Italy (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average grapefruit import price amounted to $1,155 per ton, surging by 5.2% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +4.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 24% m-o-m. The import price peaked in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,659 per ton), while the price for France ($903 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Grapefruit Price in Italy (FOB) - 2023
The average grapefruit export price stood at $1,360 per ton in June 2023, which is down by -2.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 56% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,705 per ton. From November 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
