Hardboard Price in Argentina (CIF) - 2022
The average hardboard import price stood at $597 per cubic meter in 2022, jumping by 20% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $891 per cubic meter in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,636 per cubic meter), while the price for Bolivia ($464 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Hardboard Price in Argentina (FOB) - 2022
The average hardboard export price stood at $622 per cubic meter in 2022, which is down by -9.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 19%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $687 per cubic meter, and then declined in the following year.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of hardboard decreased by -82.9% to 945 cubic meters, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, imports saw a precipitous decrease. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
