In 2022, the average import price for cycles; parts, pedals and crank-gear, and parts thereoves amounted to $435 per ton, dropping by -28.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 23%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,247 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($679 per ton), while the price for China stood at $378 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (-4.3%).

As a result, imports reached the peak of 856 tons, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

In value terms, imports of cycles; parts, pedals and crank-gear, and parts thereoves declined remarkably to $293K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 86% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $519K, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
