Japan (1.9M square meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In value terms, quilted textile products exports rose modestly to $246M in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the global exports attained the peak figure at $422M in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports By Country
China prevails in exports structure, finishing at 47M square meters, which was approx. 62% of total exports in 2022. South Korea (3.3M square meters), Italy (3M square meters), Slovakia (2.8M square meters), the Netherlands (2.4M square meters), the United States (1.5M square meters) and Malaysia (1.3M square meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to quilted textile products exports from China stood at +14.8%. At the same time, the Netherlands (+31.5%), South Korea (+23.5%), Slovakia (+22.2%), Malaysia (+6.7%) and Italy (+6.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +31.5% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the United States (-11.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
