Rice Bran Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
The average rice bran export price stood at $106 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -3.6% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, rice bran export price decreased by -9.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 54%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $118 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($151 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($80 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+27.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Rice Bran Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average rice bran import price amounted to $1,667 per ton, rising by 22% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,827 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Finland ($2,361 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,452 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Rice Bran Exports in Belarus
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of rice bran, when their volume decreased by -42.4% to 2.5K tons. In general, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 559% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 4.3K tons, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
In value terms, rice bran exports contracted remarkably to $263K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 807%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $474K, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

Rice Bran Imports in Belarus
In 2022, overseas purchases of rice bran decreased by -76.7% to 5 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports recorded a dramatic decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 75%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 47 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, rice bran imports shrank sharply to $8.4K in 2022. Overall, imports showed a dramatic curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $38K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
