The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Qatar (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons) and Kenya (X tons) were the main destinations of non-alloy steel u-section exports from Bahrain, together comprising X% of total exports. The United Arab Emirates, India, Nigeria, Israel and Australia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

In general, total imports indicated a slight increase from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

Moreover, non-alloy steel u-section imports from Oman exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Thailand (X tons), threefold.
