From 2022 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

The shipments of the two major exporters of quilted textile products in the piece (excluding embroidery), namely Nigeria and Togo, represented more than two-thirds of total export.

The export price in Western Africa stood at $X per square meter in 2023, surging by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a abrupt contraction. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X square meters in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Senegal represented the main importer of quilted textile products in the piece (excluding embroidery) in Western Africa, with the volume of imports recording X square meters, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. Mauritania (X square meters) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Gambia (X%). The following importers - Benin (X square meters) and Cote d'Ivoire (X square meters) - each finished at a X% share of total imports.

Senegal was also the fastest-growing in terms of the quilted textile products in the piece (excluding embroidery) imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Benin (X%), Mauritania (X%) and Gambia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Cote d'Ivoire experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Senegal, Mauritania, Benin and Gambia increased by X, X, X and X percentage points, respectively.
